It includes a Max Pack battery system that costs $10,000 and a Camp Kitchen that is fully serviceable in the storage tunnel, which will add another $5,000 on top of the overall price. Some buyers might find these additional features useless, however, if you are an avid camper then the Max Pack battery system and Camp Kitchen is a nice upgrade.
Rivian R1T Truck Interior
The Rivian R1T truck comes with a complete modern, stylish design that looks very high-tech. Inside the truck, it is spacious and supports up to 7 people at a time. Two seats in the front and five seats in the back. In the front middle, there is a built-in computer that pretty much does everything it controls the electric pickup truck.
Unlike the traditional pickup truck, the Rivian R1T truck comes with one door on both sides that allows easy, simple, and fast entrance. In addition to that, the truck is built with thick plating that provides an additional layer of protection against collisions. The windshield is large compared to other pickup trucks with a built-in UV guard that allows your passengers and yourself to enjoy scenic trips.

There will be three different battery packs to choose from by the time the Rivian R1T truck enters the market. The following battery packs will come in: 105kW/h, 135kW/h, and 180kW/h capacity. The entry-level battery pack which is the 105kW/h will be the last model to go and starts at 250+ miles range.
While the 135kW/h battery will provide up to 300+ miles range and the 180kW/h battery will boast more than 400+ miles range. These battery pack that the Rivian R1T truck is using will be powered via Samsung SDI battery cells, which can endure extreme temperature and extend its overall durability for longer use.
The fuel economy for these three battery packs on the Rivian R1T truck is currently unknown as the EPA has not released fuel economy estimates yet. Though, we do plan to update once we test it out on our 200 miles highway fuel economy route.
Rivian R1T Truck Performance
Unlike Tesla Cybertruck which will feature RWD for single motor models and AWD for dual motor and triple motor models. All-Wheel Drive (AWD) is the standard on all R1T truck models where each axle is powered by its electric motor.
The 135kW/h battery pack model will be the fastest out of all and comes with 754 horsepower. Rivian claimed that this electric pickup truck can go from zero to 60 miles per hour in 3 seconds. Furthermore, all Rivian R1T truck models will come with adjustable air suspension that can adjust clearance height from 8 to 14 inches.
Since every Rivian R1T truck will feature AWD, it is capable of performing a Tank Turn. This means the truck can utilize its electric motors to rotate the left wheels in the opposite direction of the right ones and rotate on its axis. The Tank Turn allows increased mobility and flexibility as opposed to traditional cars and trucks, making it one of the biggest advantages to driving a R1T truck.
The R1T truck will be capable of towing more than 11,000 pounds and offers a maximum payload of 1760 pounds. While towing a heavy trailer will place additional stress on the battery performance compared to cruising. Rivian R1T Truck Release Date
